PROBLEM
Bon Bon Bakery's existing storefront lacked a distinctive, cohesive visual identity that reflected the warmth and joy of its baked goods. This presented an opportunity to create a more recognizable, inviting brand that could stand out and connect with the local community.
RESEARCH
I researched news articles, cultural influences, and Bon Bon Bakery's existing menu to better understand its identity, community, and offerings. Through mind mapping and visual exploration, I associated the name Bon Bon with feelings of softness, sweetness, and comfort. These insights inspired a playful, soft, and rounded visual identity, incorporating fruit-inspired illustrations that reflect the bakery's fresh ingredients. By combining cultural references with the bakery's personality, I developed a warm, approachable direction that celebrates the joy of baked goods.

SOLUTIONS
I developed a concept centered on softness, tactility, and playfulness, which informed the creation of rounded, inflated typography paired with a softer, more distinctive color palette. The redesigned identity better reflects the experience of eating baked goods, soft, sweet, and joyful, while creating a stronger visual presence.

KEY TAKEAWAYS
A memorable brand doesn't just show what a business offers. It makes people feel something before they even walk through the door.
Finding Personality in the Details
Exploring the bakery's menu, cultural influences, and existing storefront showed me how small details can shape a brand's personality. I learned to create a visual identity that feels distinctive while remaining connected to the business it represents.
Bringing the Identity Into the Neighborhood
I envision testing the refreshed identity through storefront signage, packaging, and in-store applications. Gathering customer feedback would help refine its visibility, readability, and emotional appeal in a real-world setting.
